The Verges

End of the Road, Larmer Tree Gardens, 2023

A site specific installation of wild flowers, weeds and other plants foraged from the field edges, road margins and hedgerows that hug the grounds of End of the Road, an annual music festival held at Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset.

The suspended sculpture filled a Pitt Rivers temple beside the festival’s busy garden stage. Experienced indoors during the day and view at night through the temple’s glass windows and doors, the artwork created an exquisitely fragile place of calm at the heart of the lively music festival.

Locally sourced natural material, recycled plastic, plywood

4m x 4m x 4m

2023 marks the sixth consecutive year I have exhibited an installation in this space.
