I’m excited to be planning a series of workshops for the months ahead, which all focus on mindfulness and observation using plants as our muse.

This year I’ve led several wellbeing workshops, which have encouraged little moments of nature connection through creativity. After 2 years of teaching over Zoom (which in itself was fun, challenging, life changing and bizarre) it is a delight to return to working with people in real life, getting our hands and heads into plants together.

All of my sessions encourage a deeper connection to nature through observation and tuning in with our senses. There is no pressure for anyone to share the outcomes of their work, because it is the creative process that has our focus. By creating very calm and gentle multisensory spaces, filled with plants and snippages from nature, I bring an essence of my installation work into the workshop space, to kindle creativity and enhance wellbeing surrounded by plant life.

Alongside my own workshops, I’ve also been curating sessions with other very carefully selected creatives, whose practices compliment with contrast from my own. AND because I have benefitted from so many workshops over Zoom in the last couple of years, I plan to host some virtual creative wellbeing sessions too - these are still in development. So stay tuned!

To be the first to hear about my workshops please sign up to my mailing list, follow me on IG @f_e_s_t_o_o_n or check out my Eventbrite page for more info.

Or if you’d like to explore scheduling a 1-2-1 nature inspired creative session with me or a workshop for your group, please email studio@charlottesmithson.com to discuss the possibilities ✨
